We Kissed In The Rain

Updated: Dec 23, 2023

From the road,

we went downhill

to your favorite park;

it was an empty street,

filled with a purposeful walk.

At every uneven step,

our pace matched.

Our fingers locked,

as did our soul.

From yak to yak,

our eyes stayed fixed.

All the vague words in your heart

Were clearly written in your eyes.

And there came the rain,

then the perfect moment crept in.

The love stories were true,

the butterflies tickle.

But something was particular

about those full-blown lips

and it was mutual.

So curiosity drew us closer

& locked our lips together,

exchanging liquid emotions

our salivary gland produced.

Tender and slippery,

stuffed and moistened,

slow then fast,

intense then dull.

Sensation was at its peak.

Your hands wrapped around my waist

& I felt all the strength of a woman.

Then, you wouldn't let go.

Later, you would.

All in the moment,

the rain came to a halt.

People poured into the street

& my conscious mind released my lips.

Yes, I remember how your love felt,

yet oblivious to what your love meant.
