You would have my heart,

but diamonds are shaped better.

You would have my body,

if yours was a secret to fewer.

You could own my soul,

except you have yet to live.

I have a heart,

not enough love for two.

I have time,

tick tocks value over you.

I have money,

to commit is an issue.

If love was time,

it would be late.

Perfect timing is a tale

for idle opportunists.

My heart was aroused

until it ached.

Lessons are learnt,

& scores are kept,

it’s a game for two

until one is timed-out.

Love can wait,

Ambition can’t.
